DremHide was developed for a leather cutting plant producing high-end leather for companies like BMW or Boeing. This system visually recognizes chalk marks denoting damaged areas, and calculates an estimation for the yield of the raw leather.
Raw leather is inspected with DremHide at arrival, and a report is generated for every sheet. If lower than expected yield is produced by a sheet then a complaint can be filed for the supplier based on the report.
Inspection is fast, after laying out the sheet the system automatically recognizes the marked areas, shows the result on a display, and the operator generates the report by a mouseclick.
